retired lecturer. been programming since 1962 in a range of languages, but it is a hobby now.

recently mainly 'windoze work', but done some significant web development in php

want to move into python/linux environment. investigating django - have installed it on my homme machine without any issues, and it looks good do't want to do much more yet as having significant problems getting it running on my web host. my lack of knowledge of linux or installation issues? or even a host server problem - don't really know.

currently with Web Mania who are dreadful, will move eventually when i get them to transfer my domain name!!

getting fed up with lack of progress.
