I am a PhD student in Computer Science with a focus on applied Machine Learning and Statistics within Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics. My main research field is in text analysis and especially text complexity and readability. My background before the PhD program is a MSc in Computer Science and a semester each of political science and sociology.
I consider myself a Bayesian, but not a very dogmatic one, as well as a novice statistician and data scientist. My interests lie in Bayesian approaches to machine learning, and statistics in general, but I'm also moving towards working with Neural Networks and Deep Learning models. I am also very interested in cognitive science in general.
I also consider myself a rationalist, a two-level utilitarian and an anti-dogmatic libertarian socialist.
