I am a software developer specializing in cryptograhpic implementations, performance optimization, advanced trouble shooting and in general all things hard and difficult in the .NET technology stack.

In 1999 I released the first version of AxCrypt, a popular file encryption software for Windows written in C++, which was subsequently updated in 2016 re-written in C#/.NET for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. This software has been downloaded over 20 million times and is widely used.

After leaving AxCrypt in 2019 to do other things, in 2023 I released a new file encryption implementation, based on the original GPL open source code for AxCrypt, Xecrets File Cli which is also released under GPL on GitHub .
