Started out in C/C++, then made the move to Java, which turned out to be the most overly verbose, tedious and boring of all languages I've ever used... so went on a hiatus fueled by yoga and meditation in a hidden temple in the foothills of the Himalayas. After the nirvanic light of enlightenment struck my third eye, dealing with scripting languages became akin to reincarnating as a cockroach. But the blessed light of FP saved the day and got me back on the horse. I no longer have a soft spot for D or Dart or Clojurescript. Nim and Red are the languages I will start focusing on, and against my will still have to use Python (God, but what a mess Python is, even though not as horrible as PHP, it still s*cks a$$, don't care how productive you think it makes you in the short run).
