I worked till few years ago as a particle physicist, studying the strong interactions, which basically build up most of the matter we can see and interact with.

I later became rather interested in the instrument we use to develop scientific theories (the human brain) and started a postdoc in the child and adolescent psychiatry department of the university hospital in dresden.

My research aims to describe the origin of mental dysfunctions as aberrant computations executed in the processes of learning and decision making. Subsequently I combine behavioral models with fMRI and sMRI to seek the neural underpinnings of these aberrations.
