I have worked in the domain of software development for over 21 years, covering all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle using both the Waterfall and Agile Methodologies.

My career has mainly involved full-stack development, so I have good experience with UI/UX design, but I've evolved a preference for backend development over the years. I particularly enjoy working on low-level frameworks and learning the intricacies of programming languages, so I can write the most optimal code for any given problem.

I have extensive experience with integrating 3rd party APIs, designing and developing APIs, and designing and developing the low-level frameworks needed to serve scalable and fault-tolerant APIs.

The majority of my career has been spent programming in KCML; a proprietary, multi-paradigm, interpreted language - developing many areas of the Kerridge K8 product - a highly scalable and mission-critical ERP solution.

I've had some exposure to various other languages over the years including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C, C++, Node.js, and I find it quite easy and enjoyable to learn new languages as and when needed.
