Currently working in the life safety industry (Fire, Security, Nurse Systems etc.) Past roles include writing ODBC drivers to interface to non-relational DBMS's. Lots of middle-ware and some machine control for the semi-conductor industry

Had no problem with AWT and Swing but can't get my head around Android layouts ;-)
