Well, I am retired now. I was an electronics technician in the USMC, then I worked at a Science museum (the only job I regret quitting), then I was a network manager for 12 years, then went back to college at 45 to get my bachelors in Computer Science and Education. I was in my last semester when a lot of life got in the way, but I eventually finished my bachelors at 57. Somewhere in there, I was a technical writer at a frikkin' shipyard for a year. Go figure!

Now, I am mostly interested in photography, maybe writing some how-to books, and maybe starting a how-to-ish YouTube channel, except with actually useable information. You know, because of Education degree and technical writing.

If you are wondering about my profile picture: That was actually taken just after waking up from a long winter's nap. I was standing in the hallway just outside of the bathroom with the bathroom lights beaming out the door and the hallway light just above me. I did not do any special lighting nor did I do anything to my hair. Oddly, that is actually the best picture I have ever had of myself in my life. So there's that.
