My first code was written on notebook paper at a young age. It taught me to be meticulous, to think everything through and to use my brain like a debugger. Back then I was working with a 1MHz processor and 64KB RAM. Today's computing firepower makes me feel rich beyond my wildest dreams.
Years later, when I create software, I'm filled with the same giddiness I felt writing code in a notebook, eagerly waiting for my turn on the library's computer so I could type it all in. The joy of creation, this infinite medium and the feeling that anything is possible keep me coming back for more.
