Beginning during my studies, I worked in several projects with different technology stacks. I deep dived into PHP with various frameworks like Cake, Symfony and Laravel, helped develop the Spryker E-Commerce Framework Core and also implemented Spryker in various client projects. In between, I worked in projects involving more front-end javascript apps with Angular 1.5 / 2+ and Vue.js and had brief contact with React. Additionally, I've worked with various SQL implementations including Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or CouchDB. I put a strong focus on maintainability and testability of code, where my great interest in all flavors of functional programming languages come into play. Also, a good understanding of the SOLID principles and OOP architecture that I aquired during my projects plays an important role. In addition, I am a strong advocate of well documented version control, especially in Git. According to my experience, that often is a blind spot in development teams that I can mitigate. To be able to have an impact in my work, I wish future projects to have an open-minded atmosphere, open to new things / technologies / workflows etc. Good reasoning, to my mind, is one of the most important aspects of software development and I always prefer a "proper" solution over "quick and dirty" - even if it takes more time - as I strongly believe the payback will be more than enough. Also, I think it is important to challenge decisions from time to time and try out new techniques from time to time, as the IT world is never standing still - so the projects I work on should not do that either. Looking forward to new challenges!
