My day job mostly entails developing and fixing various aspects of a custom built insurance software package...dry almost any day of the week.

My most recent passion is CUDA accelerated simulation of biological and physical systems. There is a whole unexplored, high end computing world to be unlocked with agent based modeling (ABM) and I aim to open the doors to it. I have some interest in the workings of modern analytically based simulations that have been in the news from time to time, esp. in cancer research. ABM has similar as yet untapped potential as a means to explore macro scale systems as collections of emergent behaviors rooted in the collective behavior if micro scale agents.
