Full stack developer with special expertise in business intelligence and analytics. Strong object-oriented .NET skills, both web and desktop. I have MVC/WebForms/WPF/WinForms applications in daily use. Very strong SQL Server skills including data warehouse design and implementation using OLAP, Tabular and Column Store technologies from Microsoft as well as AWS RedShift and Azure SQL Data Warehouse. I currently manage a EC2 server farm. I have designed and developed a state of the art ETL platform and am highly proficient in TSQL and database administration tasks.

I have extensive experience using Python in both Windows and Linux and am capable managing Linux servers, with the exception that I rely on experts to manage system security and hardening.

As a veteran independent IT consultant I have successful experience in all aspects of system specification and design, with a strong focus on being able to listen to clients and accurately define the problems that need addressing by the proposed software. I leverage systems engineering concepts in my consulting but am not trained as a professional systems engineer. In 2005 I was certified as a level I project manager.

I have a clinical background as a Registered Nurse (RN-Michigan). I volunteered as a pastor for five years (2010 to 2015) . I am active in my community and believe in social justice and strive to do my part to make my community a better, more tolerant and accepting place.

My hobbies are cars, woodworking and fiddling with electronics and embedded systems.
