Mike is a data scientist with a background in environmental data.
In 2016 Mike completed a PhD in snow hydrology (University of Edinburgh), which was based around an historic dataset (Snow Survey of Great Britain). He used this to quantify a link between snow cover and climate fluctuations and define snow cover and melt frequency through computer modelling and statistics. You can read more about Mike's research on his blog, http://scottishsnow.wordpress.com.
Mike is a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and member of the Society of Research Software Engineers.
