Graduate Student.

I'm a novice to mediocre in a number of programming languages, but would say I don't have proficiency or expertise in any (unless HTML and CSS count). As a kid I think web coding appealed to me more because it was easier for me to generate things I wanted to do with it and therefore get more practice. In a research setting I'm increasingly encountering places where programming to automatize tasks is useful so I'm trying to learn Python for this purpose. I also am working a lot with Eprime (proprietary software used for psychological experiments) and learning E-Basic (A proprietary variation of Visual basic for Applications) for use with Eprime.

I am liking stack overflow because it means less time harassing my computer science major brother into reluctantly helping me troubleshoot problems. This is useful because given my willingness to break things until they work and use google as a second brain I have somehow become the primary lab programmer.
