I am working as a software developer in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The first few years of my career were spent working on a spring/ GWT/ spring-mvc web app. Later I spent two years working on a big java enterprise system for a major insurer, which included a lot of spring-batch.

In between I have also tried my hand at professional C#, .NET, and knockoutjs and spent about 8 months coaching graduates, mostly in the .NET stack.

Currently I'm playing a leading role in a Java team at a Fintech startup inside a large bank where we experiment with many different technologies while we bring innovation to investment banking.

I am a friendly and outgoing guy who loves change. I also have a 4 year honor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
