Hi! My name is Manuel Gómez, and I'm a Software Engineer living in Xixón, northern Spain.
I have several years of experience working for companies big and small, start-ups and well-established business, fast growing or slow paced, being part of a team or solo, using an extensive set of technologies and methodologies. For all this, I like to think of myself as a very adaptable and reliable worker.
I enjoy understanding the set of problems and goals a project faces and trying to find where I can be of help given my experience and abilities. My main drive is to help organizations get to a better shape every day, one incremental step at a time, no matter my role.
I can also be of great help in improving processes and methodologies, having worked with lots of different organizational configurations in the past, and (hopefully) understanding the advantages and flaws of each one of those.
At any company I work for, I will also push diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias training and overall best practices in every corner of the organization.
I love mentoring, and I think I've reached a point in my career in which I can help less experienced developers get a broader picture on a lot of different topics (technical or not) regarding or surrounding a successful career in tech.
Misc: I love amateur football teams that play their hearts out, hip hop music and trying a different GNU/Linux distribution every week.
Should there be anything needing to be clarified regarding my experience, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.
