I'm just a guy working as a high level programmer for an astronomy observatory in Hawaii, predominantly using Python and functional programming in Scala. Other languages of interest are Java, Kotlin, and C++.

I have a PhD in computer science, specializing in combinatorics and combinatorial design theory. The specific subject of my thesis and research was on a type of combinatorial design called a variable strength covering array.

When I'm not coding or learning more, I enjoy playing video games, swimming, jogging, cooking Thai food, and spending time with my partner of 17 years and our three cats.
