The title doesn't make sense, does it? That's because I'm not actually a professional programmer. Programming is a hobby to me, and one that I spend significant time on, but by education I'm a marine engineer, and I have risen to the rank of Chief Engineer over the last twenty-odd years.

I program almost exclusively in C++, though I have forays into Python from time to time. Also Lua is a pet project for embedding/scripting.
