My track record as a programmer:

• I started out in Pascal when I was around 13.
• I quickly learned C and C++ by playing around with a MUD source code for a summer.
• In university, I was taught mainly in Java.
• My first job was in Fortran 95 (for scientific computing).
• My second job was teaching Python to university undergrads.
• When I got an administrative post, I learned R for data analyses.

Right now I'm developing an audio analysis app for HTML5, using Haxe for analysis and AngularJS for UI, with the backend on Python Flask sitting on top of SQLalchemy bindings to MySQL.

As an aside, I also have a PhD in theoretical cryptography, and I self-identify more as a mathematician than a developer.
