Electrical engineer by education; transitioned slowly to software development only. Most work is UNIX command-line apps, technical data analysis, or embedded systems. A little MATLAB GUI work thrown in just for fun. I use PERL, Java, C, C++, and MATLAB in my daily work, depending on the task at hand and the project I am supporting.
