This is the technical peer to the PM. This person leads the team of developers and is responsible for the design, architecture, and development of the more difficult portions of the project.

This person has traits of alpha geek and constantly searching and thinking about something.You can certainly read it on his face.

He is responsible for ensuring from the team estimates are as accurate as possible and team executes accordingly.

Code standards are enforced by this developer, who mentors the development team and provides code reviews as needed. Your customer will often form a special relationship with this fellow—sometimes, even trying to circumvent the PM by going directly to him.
