I’ve been meeting business and consumer needs by building and maintaining software in small teams for nearly 20 years. After 2 years in engineering management I’m returning to full-stack engineering in a freelance capacity. If you think my skills and experience would be a good fit for an upcoming task or project, please get in touch via direct message or email.
My strongest area is browser-based development, from standards-compliant HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS to complex single-page apps built with frameworks like React and Redux.
I’m also proficient with server-side languages and technology like C#, PHP, and node/deno, but I haven’t done much significant with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala). In addition to serving web pages and apps, I’ve created and maintained APIs, built message production/processing systems (RabbitMQ, GCP PubSub), and done a fair amount of payment processing.
Continuing further into the back end, I’m comfortable working with SQL (and to a lesser extent, no-SQL) databases, both CRUD/querying/stored procedures and configuring schemata and indices for performance.
I try to take a thoughtful approach to development, valuing simplicity, and am quick to come up to speed in the context of environments and systems.
Once again, if you think my skills and experience would be a good fit for an upcoming task or project, please get in touch via direct message or email.
