I have the most fun investigating and fixing multi-threading problems. C# is my current language of choice (I've been working within the .NET framework since 1.1, but also dabbling in PHP and Objective C). I started programming on Hypercard Stack in junior high, QBasic in high school, and Assembly on an old x286 in my spare time back then. It's been pretty amazing after 20 years in the industry, individual computers turn into nodes as part of what can basically be called 'supercomputers' (networks of smaller machines), and from there, scaling up to networks of networks of these 'supercomputers', and equally fascinating watching Linux mature, and then the rise of Raspberry Pi.

It's been an amazing ride so far, and I can't wait to see what AI does to the industry. For the record, I'm envisioning the positronic brains from "I, Robot" - and not the dystopian Terminator endgame that many see emerging. Frankly, the movie "I, Robot" could have done more to further Asimov's perspective instead of painting yet another dystopian scenario, IMO (an aside - sorry, couldn't help myself).
