Just a geek in a family of geeks except for my wife, who thinks the conversations among my two sons and myself are hilarious (she doesn't understand but perhaps 3% of them) and wants to record them to send to her sister so she can laugh as well. My focus is cybersecurity and high assurance operating systems. I am starting an open source project hosted on GitHub (HA-Linux) to recreate my security architecture from B2 Trusted DG/UX in Linux. I'm just working on the formal documentation and will start looking for others to help build this project probably at the end of 2017 (it's a LOT of documentation) (this is STILL ongoing :-( ).
Outside of my development efforts, I love to interact with my children and grandchildren, cycle (hundreds+ of miles of bike trails here), hike and ski and snowshoe and mountaineer in the beautiful Wasatch Range and Uinta Mountains, preparing to climb Mt Shasta (CA - failed to summit :-( ) and Red Pine Lake (UT - did that via snowshoe) in May, teaching leadership to youth and adults and other stuff inside and outside of Scouting, and singing in Millennial Choirs and Orchestra (UMCO) and my other choirs.
