I am currently the head R software engineer at SomaLogic, Inc. working in the bioinformatics group implementing machine learning techniques in biomarker discovery. This supports clinical insight development via the analysis of proprietary proteomic data. I am a proponent of the open-source software, conducting the majority of my research/analysis in a Linux environment and RStudio, where I try to promote conforming to the adherence of "tidy" data, a philosophy of data science designed to share underlying data structure, grammar, and format which facilitates the generation of reproducible analyses.
