My main motivation for is to learn more about python (and other languages), Arduino, the Raspberry Pi and how these tools can be used for building low-cost data logging equipment in addition to other things such as automation.

My background is in chemical engineering and I have worked with natural gas technologies and energy efficiency in the residential and commercial space for the past two years.
