I have over two decades of experience in writing software, building tools, analysing data sets and doing research in applied mathematics. I now look forward to a life where I can balance research with the profession. I want the flexibility to drop in a seminar at a university, attend a lecture, give a talk while continuing to write software.

I love writing software and I aim to improve my craftsmanship - a never-ending task. I have used several programming languages, C++, Java, R, Python, Scala, C and bash. I believe that each of these languages offers facilities to make writing programs in a certain style easy but one can write solid software in each one of these.
