I was given the opportunity to train as a mainframe programmer with a large Nottingham based company when I was working as an assistant manager with Pizza Hut. That was 20 years ago! I moved away from mainframe (PL/1) coding about 4 years after starting and on to PC-centric languages.

Mostly I've learnt "on-job", JavaScript and NetSuite are my current "bread and butter" but I'm able to get by in pretty much any OOPL, although I don't consider myself an expert, there's always room to learn something new! You can catch me on the NetSuite User Groups forums as Nelliott
