I am a computer geek that happens to spend much of my time doing GIS development work. My work frequently involves the full spectrum of hardware and software needed to build and share GIS applications with my clients. My development work can involve desktop development, server-side development, database development, native mobile development, and web development. I also act as the dev-ops manager for my development team. In the past I have acted as the IT manager for my company. I work with mostly geologists, geographers, hydrogeologists, and environmental modelers - out of 50+ people in my company, I am the only one to have a computer science degree. In university I was president of the computer science club for 4 years. I enjoy working in all operating systems but spend most of my time in OS X or Windows.
