"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Mahatma Gandhi

After a long, hard, but also fruitful journey, I'm now finishing the Masters of Informatics Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, Oporto's University.

Beyond the quality of this course, and the pride on being part of it, I'm also defined by much more than it. I'm a federate kung fu practicioner (perhaps attracted by the oriental philosophy and lifestyle), and also self-taught pianist. Besides that, usually I'm found devouring an online course or reading a good book, not only on informatics topic, but also (and majorly) on psychology and philosophy.

But informatics has a great slice of the pie that is my life. My research fields (mostly to quench my own thirst for knowledge) are diverse: mostly I focus on artificial intelligence, but the complexity of distributed systems logic always fascinated me, not forgetting about programming languages (namely the functional paradigm) and the constant evolution of web development tools. In my workday as a software engineer, I envision the merge of at least some of this areas, so that I develop a special taste about my work, and my chronic perfectionism don't find barriers to it.

In my experience are a year doing research on the prediction of drugs' side effects. This "little" adventure helped me establish the foundations of me as a professional, as well as alert to the true potential of my abilities. Currently I'm working as a Data Scientist & Engineer at MOG Technologies, developing solutions for the multimedia companies using machine learning.
