My first love is music. I started to play guitar at a very young age, learned music theory, technique, etc...

I have been developing for about 25 years. I have never had a job where I just coded all day long. I used development as a tool to help further along my businesses, which was SEO and affiliate marketing. My first coding job was back in 1998 with Cold Fusion/MS Access. Then, ASP, ASP.net, PHP, vanilla Javascript and various PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Code Ignitor.

I have made a living as a sub-contractor doing various things. I worked for a company called FirstPlace Software. They made an SEO application called "Web Position." This is when I started to learn the tricks of the trade on how to drive targeted traffic to a web site.

The company was eventually sold back in 2003. I decide to become an affiliate marketer for Commission Junction. I sold leads for many verticals: mortgages, education, personal loans (not payday loans). I was very successful at it for many years. However, life can sometimes overcome us for a time and I had to let it go for a while.

When I ask a question on Stack, I make sure that I have already put in the research. 99% of all of my questions are solved by researching with search engines and searching the Stack archives. The remaining 1% is when I ask a question on Stack.

We are all students. Students understand that there is no end to learning. Anyone who tells me that they know everything, knows nothing. How can someone learn if they have this mindset?

I love learning and there is always someone out there who knows more than I for a specific topic. I embrace it.
