High-school student in engineering sciences, I'm aspiring to study physics after graduating. I'm an avid programmer with experience in C, C++ and Python, and I love writing physics engines and simulations. Optimizing code is my favorite thing in the world.
I was born in Brussels, grew up (for 10 years) in the Los Angeles region before moving back to Europe and switching between Arlon (Belgium) and Luxembourg a few times. I finally settled in Paris to finish my high-school studies.
My interest for physics started when I was 8 years old and my father and I built our own RC airplane out of foam and posterboard. It used a variant of the KFm-2 airfoil, but never flew because our motor was much too heavy for the tiny craft and made it very nose heavy.
A few years later, at 12, I learned how to code in C++. I managed to trick myself into thinking I could learn C++ in two weeks before entering Luxembourg's CIL (National Computing Competition), and got 11th place. I have been programming ever since, and I don't regret any of it. It's a wonderful skill that lets you do an amazing amount of things.
