Semi-retired and still busy. Electronics & radio background, leading to computer system support & design. Most recently Novell & Windows server & network consultancy. Wrote first programs in mid-1970's in 'NEAT' Assembler on ICL/Elliott 4120 mainframe. Fixed & programmed 8080, Z80 & 6502 microprocessor systems from their day-1. Wrote (serious) Computer Based Training hardware simulators in 6502 Assembler under BBC Basic. Loved my first 'Mix Power C' compiler. Grew through Zortech C/C++. Later I used Borland BCB4 & 5 to write another hardware simulator to verify my own real-time Serial I/O DDE client & server components. The customer was delighted but then wanted it re-written in VB, and I said Nah...!. Now enjoying C++Builder 2010. I'm still battling with OO concepts ...
