Started out with an S-100 plywood and hope monster, loved the Apple ][, found joy in Turbo C on the IBM PC, stepped through DR-DOS, Coherent, BSDi, Linux and now run I find myself owning a publishing company, handling the bits and bytes that keep it together while my business partners handle the other corners.

I use emacs and find myself these days mostly using PHP to glue pretty stuff together, and I married a woman who writes scientific code in FORTRAN77 on vi. We have matching laptops.
