I worked in IT as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst/Software tester for about 15 years specialising in testing databases, data warehouses and automated testing. Wrote tests in Bash, PL/SQL, SQL, Java and PHP.

Two years ago I tried starting an online linux tutoring company but all my computers running Debian linux(on intel architecture) kept getting constantly hacked so I had to stop that project. As of now, four of my laptops will no longer boot and are no longer usable because the BIOS chip on each one has been corrupted. This has motivated me to learn as much as I can about opensource software in order to investigate these problems. I want to contribute to the opensource community to help test and fix opensource code which seems to be full of vulnerabilities these days.
