I'm an old UNIX guy that fell into industrial automation (Modicon and Wonderware mostly). I like to find ways to get Emacs to do my job for me.

Drove a truck for a few years before going back to school to get my career back on track. I enjoy programming in various Lisp dialects, think Perl is getting more confusing with every new version (much like C++), and that Linux looks a lot more like Windows every day. I tinker with electronics and microcontrollers, and do a bit of woodworking when I have time. Occasionally I write Fortran 77 code for fun.

I figure I'm a few years away from shaking my cane and telling the kids to get off my lawn.
