I have been developing software for over 15 years, 12 of which I have developed video games on and off. I am also beginning to learn Japanese, and am working every day to improve my skills in that area.

I am a video game developer.

Professionally, I have worked in the web development field since 2009, though my freelance experience goes back to 2005. I am proficient in server and client side development, optimization, debugging and troubleshooting. I am familiar with relational databases and various frameworks and languages such as C++, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, .NET framework, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MSSQL (SQL Server), mySQL, PowerShell and many others. I have also done some Android development and currently have an app out on Google Play.

Most of my game development work has been on independent projects over the years. I have experience using game engines such as Torque, Unreal 2004/Unreal 3, and worked on developing a product using the XNA platform. I am proficient at low-poly modeling, unwrapping, texturing, scripting and programming for games, and also have some experience writing plugins for applications such as 3D Studio max. I also have a firm understanding of the Windows operating system and hardware. Knowledge in Mac OS and Linux, although somewhat limited.

Other Skills/Interests: Skilled 2D artist (both traditional media and digital with Wacom tablet), sculptor. Also a percussionist (primarily drum kit) and avid gamer (when I'm not developing them, of course!). I'm also a pretty terrible guitarist.
