I’m the Senior Software Engineer for IFLIX SDN BHD, a video on demand (VOD) company which makes various digital media available to users worldwide through a streaming platform - iflix. In this role, I am part of a team of engineers in designing and developing microservices using Node.Js and Go lang. The team is responsible for creating a personalized messaging service integrated into the platform based on user data, viewing activity, and behavior.

Before joining IFLIX SDN BHD, I worked for two employment agencies — SCICOM (MSC) BERHAD EPS MALAYSIA – and was lucky enough to work with Air Asia under their Loyalty Program based in Kuala, Lumpur, Malaysia. I was able to explore my expertise in developing new systems and collaborating with a great team. During my engagement in Air Asia, I integrated docker for Microservices which hugely impacted system performance and made deployment easier and faster. The team was focused on continuously adopting changes gathered from the deployment pipeline, pushing them to the staging and production stages.

I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other software engineers and developers. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of every project is the opportunity to work with the team and clients to understand the business objectives, and how to achieve them. As we go through the collaborative process of software or service design and development, the exchange of ideas and techniques is always the exciting part.
