CSS is my yarn, JavaScript my pen point and HTML the chewing gum that sticks everything together!

I am a web frontend developer and designer with a total of 16 years of experience, 6 of them in full time at the time of writing. During this time I've increased my knowledges continuously so I'm familiar with current JavaScript and CSS standards and evolutions. Learning never ends of course and so I'm happy to discover something new nearly on a daily basis.

Despite I started with frameworks like Bootstrap and jQuery, I prefer the use of Vanilla JavaScript in the meanwhile. Nevertheless I'm still familiar with jQuery, but am not dependent on it anymore to reach my goals.

In my career - up to now - I was luckily able to work with a whole lotta different technologies like AngularJS, KnockoutJS, Slick Slider, Flickity Slider and different CMS like Contao, Umbraco, Cofoundry and Shopify. Additionally I'm a certified "Professional SCRUM Developer I" (PSD-I) since January 2020.

During leisure (so when my kids are asleep) I'm developing a small Vanilla-JS and ES6 based framework to keep my projects "DRY" and on a basic standard (while omitting support for Internet Explorer). This will come along with self designed Icon-Fonts and a CSS-Framework. The latter is based on a semantical and human readable usage of css classes and tags. My plan is to replace jQuery, Bootstrap and even FontAwesome in my very own projects on a long time term. A publishing of this is not planned currently but might come somewhen.

When I'm not developing anything I spend time with my Kids, sing traditional Irish songs, draw, write fantasy stories, or just travel through Azeroth.
