Currently Chief Architect of MetLife, a very large insurance company. Before that, Chief Architect of Citigroup's Equities division, and various other Wall Street positions with investment banks and hedge funds. I ran Magma Systems for 10 years, and wrote such products as MEWEL (a emulation of the Windows API for DOS Text/Graphics, Curses, and Motif), the ME text editor (first text editor with a full C-like macro language), and New York Word (one of the first shareware word processors). I was also the first technical member of Microsoft's SQL Server team way back in the late 80's, and I used to write for Microsoft Systems Journal. Despite all of that, I am still a hard-core developer, who tries to sneak in as much coding as possible.
