As much as I would love to find employment in the computing industry, I am shelving this plan. I am occupied with another career, but enjoy learning languages and scripts. I am a dilettante (I'd rather be a polymath); I may remain this way for some time.

I began work as a computer hardware engineer for a small Original Equipment Manufacturer. As well as assembling, testing and delivering computers, I did component-level diagnostics and repair to the motherboards and peripherals. Under supervision, I prototyped an on-board real-time clock, which subsequently entered production.

I have always been interested in electronics in some shape or form, so I am visiting an area that I didn't have time to fully explore earlier in my life. I would like to contribute meaningfully to society, whether through advancing human-technological interaction, or through some altruistic endeavour.
