My first computer was the ZX81 (kit version). As a hobbyist I started with BASIC in 1981. I got into the BBS scene in the mid 1980s and had my first taste of the internet in 1987 at university.

As a professional I started with Perl in 1993. After 15 years I left the profession and am now back to being a hobbyist. I like tinkering with php, javascript, linux, mysql, etc.
