Currently, I work at John Wiley & Sons, Inc. as a Principal Architect, Open Source advocate, and Open Standards liaison. I also serve as a Co-Organizer of REST Fest.

Previously, I have held roles as Developer Advocate for Hypothes.is, IBM's Cloudant, and Couchbase as well as serving as CTO of InnoVenture.com. Before all of that, I spent 7+ years building a small web development shop (named BigBlueHat) that built a CMS called BlueInk.

I continue to explore content on the Web via my open source projects, my work at the W3C in publishing, annotation, and JSON-LD.
