I have always been interested in creating things with my own hands. In middle school, I was a band geek. In high school, I wrote short stories. But I could never truly find my passion. I came into college as a chemical engineering major, but I quickly learned that I hated chemistry. Lost in a directionless void, I thought "Why not?" to myself and took a programming course. I fell in love instantly, and I've been doing it even since.
I like to think of programming as an artistic form of communication. It is your duty as a programmer to talk to an object that is many times faster than you at thinking through its ones and zeroes and translate its response into something manageable by the everyday man. There's a beauty in that service, and it's a service I am happy to provide.
