Self-taught hobbyist native C/C++ coder since the early 90's. First major code projects were in Turbo Pascal, then Borland C/C++, followed by DJGPP before finally making the belated leap into Windows via VS2003.

Currently creating an OpenGL/WASAPI-centric game engine in VC11 (VS2012 DE) based on Bullfrog's 'Dungeon Keeper 2 (TM)' from the ground up (old man, loves old games, go figure :) Since I code for my own amusement and insatiable passion for learning, logic and puzzles, I like to write code as lean, optimised and self-contained as possible; as such, the only libraries I use are GLM (with a few of my own tweaks) and a couple of now 'old' and very heavily-modified Zlib and FreeType distros...and I flatly refuse to jump on the Boost bandwagon :P

Speaking of amusement, I have a coding blog but despite original intentions I haven't really used it since I first created it (the best laid plans...). The thought has occurred to me to use to to display my current work, but I'm not posting anything until all vestiges of possibly litigation-inducing ephemera have been purged from the engine. <.< >.>
