I'm doing scientific research as a PhD student, mainly focusing on genetics and transcriptomics of Frontotemporal Dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Since genetics and transcriptomics currently means analyzing huge datasets I learn myself some programming in (Bio)Python (mainly), Tcl and R (limited). I occasionally challenge myself or am challenged by colleagues to write something different and I end up with interesting problems...
