Though my degree is in English, I have, for over a year now, been diligently building knowledge in the field of software engineering. I began this transformation through Bloc’s online full stack web development course in which I gained an understanding of languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Ruby and also libraries and frameworks including jQuery, AngularJS, and Ruby on Rails. Quickly, I received a job in mobile/web development at IBM where I built upon my programming knowledge through IBM offered courses in Swift/iOS Development and Java. At my current job, I have been focusing on JavaScript in both the front and back end of applications.
