I started programming in 2013, at 42 (a french IT school), mainly in C (our main taught language) and Bash (for fun). First of all, I got used with memory usage, and pointers, lists, trees.. All that kinda boring but still awesome stuffs. I also worked with complex algorithms: basic A.I, Pathfinding, memoization, crypto (MD5, RSA, AES)...

Then for my first internship, I found out Java with Android (I had to use some cool technos such as RFID, including NFC), and Scala (while searching stuffs about Java) that I found hard to get, but still interesting. I worked hard and got used to Java and Android, I love Android, I love it !

I learned C++ at school (which I found, in a way, cooler than C, but, like Java, verbose and boring). So for some school projects, I tried to use Scala, and well, it was awesome.

Then I deeply learn functional programming at school with OCaml, which was kinda alien but awesome, and which made me like Scala even more.

I'm now in love with this language. I'm a Scala addict, that's it.

Recently, a friend introduced me to Machine Learning, I practiced it using Scala, and wow, just wow. That sums up the situation. I love Scala, Android, Machine Learning, and SCALA
