Hi! I'm Hernan. I am a Computer Engineer (B.Eng. in Computer Science) graduated in 2017 from Universidad de la Republica, Montevideo, Uruguay. I was born and based in Uruguay but since 2019 I have been based in Berlin, Germany.

I carry 7+ significant years of experience as a Software Engineer with heavy focus, interest and expertise on backend Software Engineering and Software Architecture.

Even though I am specialized in Python and TypeScript/NodeJS, I consider myself to be a language agnostic engineer; I fall in love with architectural patterns and technologies that don’t depend on a specific language, framework or cloud provider. Apart from having a varied set of hard skills, I also bring along strong communication and social skills that have enabled me to grow into senior and leading roles.

I am a self-motivated person, always on the lookout for new challenges and putting myself out of the comfort zone in order to grow even further.

I speak Spanish (native), English (fluent C1) and German (advanced B2).
