I guess I would describe my real position as "General Purpose Office Nerd". Can't get the laptop and projectors to work? Printer problems? Need a formula for that excel spreadsheet? How about a nice thematic map? Edit a PDF? Map my photos? Need a spreadsheet out of the database? Can't set your auto-reply in e-mail? SharePoint not working? Never fear, Office Nerd is here...

My actual position title is "GIS Technician". My graduate training is in urban forestry and regional planning. My undergraduate study was chemistry and environmental health and safety. I'm more of a 'scripter' than a coder.
